A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
I believe, deep down, we all seek the same story.
Someone to die for those they love.
Someone willing to walk through hell and back.
Light to win against the darkness, even as the all seems lost,
the world shaking at its very foundations.
Courage to overcome fear, hope to outlast until the trumpet’s call,
signaling glorious victory.
The bad guys lose, the good guys win.
And our beloved hero obtains that beautiful life out of reach of
their now-trodden enemy, surrounded by those they love.
The snake’s head has been crushed, and a righteous, good king reigns,
his kingdom bathed in light and beauty.
But that story has already been written,
and it belongs to all of us.
I believe we wish to be seen, to be known, to be loved.
Despite every flaw and scar, despite everything we have ever done,
everything we believe we are.
Jesus is this story of love, this story of victory.
He is the story of mercy. Of courage and light and life.
The story of absolute victory over death and darkness.
Jesus alone is the way, the truth and the life.
He sees you and knows you. Entirely. Completely.
He loves you. Unabashedly, without fear or limit.
And He chooses you over and over and over again.
You are His Beloved.
You are the one He went to hell and back for.
The one He died for, love in His eyes.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that
whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
One of the best parts about this story is that it is true. It happened, and the story is still unfolding.
God really did give His one and only son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice for our sins.
He lead a perfect, sinless life. He died on the cross, taking our mistakes with Him to the grave.
After three days, he rose. Death has been defeated, and we can now come boldly into the throne room of God with Jesus' sacrifice. We can ask forgiveness for what we've done wrong, and it is enough because of what He did for us. We are made righteous through Him; through asking forgiveness, accepting what He did for us, and inviting Him to be Lord of our life.
God loves you, and desires you have life, and life to the fullest. The enemy's plan for your life was death and destruction. God wants more for you. Accepting Jesus doesn't mean life's hardships go away, but it does mean you will not be alone when you face them.
I wrote this because I am the author of a book I invited you to read. I would love it if you read my book, but honestly— if you don't read it, or if you read anything, I would recommend the Bible. It is God's Word and love letter to you. It is the greatest story ever told.
Above all else, I would love for you to know Jesus personally. To those of you who read this far, yay! Thank you for taking the time. This page is the most important thing I have to say. I am praying for you and am so glad you're here.
Kindest regards,
Linnea K. Warren
